New charging, new colors, and a leaner Escalade lineup across the Cadillac family, now at Kunes Chevrolet Cadillac of Delavan in Delavan, WI. We make it EASY!
The 2027 model year brings Cadillac's electric SUVs a native NACS charge port and gives the Escalade a simpler lineup. Most of these changes are updates to proven designs rather than full redesigns, so the Cadillacs you know keep their strengths while picking up new charging access, new colors, and new options. Here is a look at what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop at Kunes Chevrolet Cadillac of Delavan.
What's New Across the 2027 Cadillac Lineup
The headline change is the charge port. The Lyriq, Lyriq-V, and Vistiq now have a native NACS port in place of the old CCS port, which lets them plug into Tesla Supercharger stations without an adapter, and GM has said all of its 2027 models will get the port. The Optiq already has one, and the Optiq-V adds a NACS-to-J1772 adapter. The Optiq adds four new exterior colors and a Deep Ocean Edition package, the Vistiq gets cleaner styling, new paint colors, and a new factory trailering package, and the Escalade and Escalade ESV add a new Sandstone exterior color.
What's Changing This Year
The Escalade lineup shrinks. Cadillac dropped the entry 1SA trim and the rear-wheel-drive versions of the Platinum Luxury and Platinum Sport, so the Platinum Escalades now come with four-wheel drive, and the longer Escalade ESV follows the same lineup. Cadillac also retired the Aegean Stone and Magnus Metal Frost colors on the Escalade. The Lyriq's augmented-reality head-up display is now standard only on the Lyriq-V and Lyriq-V Premium, and the Vistiq's wheel choices drop from nine to seven. Some details are still preliminary (GM has promised a Digital Key feature for the Escalade by over-the-air update, with no date announced), so our dedicated 2027 pages break down every model.
What Carries Over
The things that make a Cadillac a Cadillac carry into 2027. The Escalade keeps its 6.2L V8 (420 horsepower) and 10-speed automatic, the Escalade-V keeps its supercharged V8 (682 horsepower), and Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance stays standard. The electric SUVs keep their battery and motor setups, including the Optiq-V's 519 horsepower, the Lyriq-V's 615 horsepower, and the Vistiq's roughly 300 miles of range.
