2027 Dodge Charger: What Changed, What Stayed, and What to Know

Dodge's muscle car adds more than 25 new factory options for 2027, and Kunes locations across Wisconsin and Illinois can walk you through the Sixpack and Daytona lineup.

The 2027 Dodge Charger is the eighth-generation muscle car, offered as a two-door or four-door with standard all-wheel drive. The gas lineup is led by the Sixpack-powered R/T and Scat Pack, and the all-electric Daytona Scat Pack tops the range. Dodge did not redesign the car for 2027 but added more ways to personalize it, plus a NACS charge port on the Daytona. (The details below reflect what Dodge had published as of mid-October 2026; ask us to confirm any specific Charger.) Here is what changed, what carried over, and how the models compare.

2027 Dodge Charger Changes vs. 2026

The big news is personalization. Dodge added more than 25 new factory options for 2027. A new Satin Black painted hood is available on the Sixpack models, new dual stripes come in Satin White, Satin Black, and Gloss Red, and the graphics choices are broader. Inside, the Scat Pack Plus and Daytona Scat Pack Plus gain Petrol Blue leather sport seats with a Digital Slash perforation pattern and red stitching, and Demonic Red seat belts are available across the lineup. Mopar also offers a new glass-roof sunshade.

The electric Daytona gets a native NACS charge port as standard. Dodge also raised the Daytona Scat Pack's price substantially for 2027 while holding the gas Sixpack models' prices where they were.

What Stayed the Same

The Charger keeps its 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, which Dodge calls the Sixpack, in two outputs. The Charger R/T makes 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque, and the Scat Pack uses the high-output version at 550 horsepower. The Daytona Scat Pack keeps its dual-motor electric system with 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup, the Uconnect 5 system runs on a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 20-inch wheels are available, and Chargers are built at Dodge's Windsor Assembly Plant in Canada.

2027 Dodge Charger Sixpack Performance

The Sixpack engine is a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, and it comes in two strengths. In the Charger R/T it makes 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque, with full torque available at 2,500 rpm and 22 psi of peak boost. Dodge quotes 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds and a 12.9-second quarter mile, and says the engine adds 50 horsepower and 73 lb-ft over the previous 5.7L Hemi R/T.

The Charger Scat Pack uses the high-output Sixpack, which makes 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque with up to 30 psi of boost from twin Garrett turbochargers. Dodge quotes 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds and a 12.2-second quarter mile, and says the engine adds 65 horsepower and 56 lb-ft over the previous 6.4L Hemi Scat Pack. Both Sixpack models use an eight-speed automatic and a mechanical limited-slip rear differential, and both come with standard all-wheel drive that can send 100 percent of torque to the rear wheels at the push of a button. Line Lock and Launch Control are standard on the Scat Pack and part of the Performance Handling Group on the R/T, which also adds Brembo six-piston front brakes, a performance suspension, and 20-inch wheels.

2027 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack

The all-electric Charger Daytona Scat Pack makes up to 670 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, and Dodge quotes 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds and an 11.5-second quarter mile. A PowerShot feature adds 40 horsepower for 10 seconds on demand, and the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust gives it a distinct performance sound. Drift and Donut Mode, Launch Control, and Race Prep are standard, and the available Track Package adds 16-inch Brembo rotors, red fixed calipers, staggered 20-inch wheels, and adaptive damping.

Dodge rates the Daytona at up to 267 miles of range. For 2027 it is the first Stellantis model to launch with a native NACS charge port, which Dodge says opens access to more than 29,000 additional chargers, including Tesla Superchargers, without an adapter.

2027 Dodge Charger Interior, Technology, and Safety

The cockpit is built around the driver, with a 12.3-inch center touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster (a 16-inch cluster is optional on the gas models and standard on the Daytona), a console-mounted start button, and a pistol-grip shifter. Drive modes include Sport, Auto, Eco, Wet/Snow, and Valet, and the Scat Pack adds a Custom mode. Level 2 driver assistance is standard, including Active Driving Assist, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Blind-spot Monitoring with Active Rear Cross Path detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection.

The Plus models add ventilated and memory seats, welcome lighting with proximity wake-up, 64-color Attitude Adjustment lighting, premium LED headlamps, a 16-inch cluster, a head-up display, navigation, a 360-degree surround-view camera, Turn Signal-activated Blind-spot View, wireless charging, and a power rear hatch. An 18-speaker Alpine Pro audio system with 914 watts and a panoramic glass roof are available.

2027 Dodge Charger Customization

Dodge added more than 25 new factory options for 2027. Petrol Blue leather performance seats with Digital Slash perforation and red stitching join the Scat Pack's Demonic Red, black leather, and suede seat choices, and Demonic Red seat belts are available across the lineup. The Sixpack R/T and Scat Pack can be ordered with a Satin Black painted hood. Mopar adds Charger blade stripes, strobe stripes, and dual stripes in Gloss Red, Satin White, and Satin Black, along with a glass-roof sunshade, and orange and black Brembo calipers are coming as a late-availability option. The Blacktop Package and Carbon & Suede Package are available, and 20-by-11-inch wheels with 305/35ZR20 tires are available on the Scat Pack.

The Four-Door Charger and Its Cargo Space

Dodge calls the Charger the only four-door muscle car. Its hidden hatch gives it 37.4 cubic feet of cargo space, which Dodge says is 38 percent more rear cargo capacity than the previous generation and 127 percent more with the rear seats folded.

2027 Dodge Charger Awards

The eighth-generation Charger was named 2026 North American Car of the Year. It also won the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year, the Detroit News Vehicle of the Year, TopGear.com's U.S. Car of the Year, and a MotorWeek Drivers' Choice award for Best Sport Coupe.

2027 Dodge Charger Models Compared

The Charger R/T is the entry point to the Sixpack lineup, with 420 horsepower. The Charger Scat Pack steps up to 550 horsepower, and the Plus versions of each add more standard equipment. The all-electric Daytona Scat Pack tops the range at 670 horsepower, with the Daytona Scat Pack Plus adding more equipment. Dodge also announced a 600-horsepower Charger Super Bee Launch Edition, which it calls the quickest, fastest, and most powerful Sixpack Charger. Dodge quotes 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds for the R/T, 3.9 seconds for the Scat Pack, and 3.3 seconds for the Daytona Scat Pack, which is rated at up to 267 miles of range. The four-door R/T costs $2,000 more, the all-electric Daytona costs more than the gas models, and starting prices do not include options, so many vehicles on our lots cost more.
