The 2027 Subaru lineup grows with the all-new Getaway (the brand's largest electric SUV) and the first-ever Forester Wilderness Hybrid, while the Ascent and Crosstrek pick up smaller updates and the recently redesigned Outback carries on. Every model keeps Subaru's standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, so you get the new additions without losing what makes a Subaru a Subaru. Here is what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop at Kunes Auto Group.

What's New Across the 2027 Subaru Lineup

The headline is the Getaway, a three-row electric SUV for up to seven passengers with standard dual-motor all-wheel drive (420 horsepower), an estimated 300-plus miles of range, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, up to 3,500 pounds of towing, and a 14.0-inch touchscreen. Subaru had not announced Getaway pricing at the time of writing. The Forester adds its first Wilderness Hybrid, pairing Subaru's 194-horsepower hybrid system with 9.3 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, retuned suspension, and dual-function X-Mode, with up to 25 percent better fuel economy than the gas Forester Wilderness.

What's Changing This Year

The Ascent gets an interior-light shutoff switch, USB-C ports for third-row passengers, an LED cargo-area light on the Limited and Limited Bronze Edition, and new paint (Daybreak Blue Pearl replaces Sapphire Blue Pearl, and Deepwater Blue Pearl joins as an Ascent exclusive). On the Crosstrek, the gas-only Sport trim is gone and the Sport name now belongs to the hybrid; Limited Hybrid models gain a standard power moonroof, and the color palette shifts (Tidepool Teal Pearl replaces Alpine Green, and Ignition Red replaces Pure Red and Lithium Red Pearl). Some pricing and equipment details were not final at the time of writing, so check the dedicated pages for each model.

What Carries Over

Much of the lineup returns largely unchanged, which is good news for models that are still fresh. The Outback (redesigned for 2026) is expected to carry over with few, if any, changes. The electric Trailseeker returns with its 375-horsepower dual-motor powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, up to 281 miles of range, and a $39,995 starting price (before destination). The Solterra and Uncharted also return without meaningful revisions. Subaru's EyeSight driver assist technology and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive continue across the lineup.
