The 2027 model year is mostly about refinement for Toyota, with a new hybrid system for the Crown, extra comfort for the Prius Plug-in Hybrid, and a new color for the Tacoma TRD Pro. Most of the lineup carries over from 2026, so the Toyotas you know keep their strengths while picking up a few useful upgrades. Here is a look at what is new, what is changing, and what carries over as you shop at Kunes.

The Crown's XLE, Limited, and Nightshade grades move to Toyota's fifth-generation hybrid system, which pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with front and rear electric motors. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid makes dual-zone automatic climate control standard on every grade and adds an Inked exterior color. The Land Cruiser gains an available high-mounted air intake on both grades, along with heated and ventilated rear seats, and the Tacoma TRD Pro adds Honeycomb, a golden-yellow finish shared with the Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro.

Most of the lineup is carrying over. Toyota lists nothing new for the Camry, which stays an all-hybrid sedan with five grades, and the all-hybrid RAV4 is expected to carry over unchanged from its 2026 redesign. As of mid-October 2026, Toyota had not published 2027 RAV4 or Tacoma grades, pricing, or EPA ratings, so some details are still preliminary, and our dedicated 2027 pages break down each model.

The Camry keeps its fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive as standard, and available all-wheel drive. The RAV4 keeps its hybrid-only lineup, standard Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, and a plug-in hybrid with standard all-wheel drive. The Tacoma keeps its 2.4-liter turbo and its i-FORCE MAX hybrid, which makes 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
