Merry Christmas and happy holidays from our team to you! Our Kunes family wants to share the joy, fun, and excitement that this time of year brings with help from Toys For Tots.
How It All Started: 75 years ago, Major Bill Hendricks, of the US Marine Corps Reserve, was tasked by his wife with finding an agency to donate toys for children in need; he was surprised that no such organization existed. So, with the help of his fellow comrades, Major Hendricks created the Toys For Tots foundation.
The Mission: To assist the U.S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.
The Objective: To help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future.
How You Can Help: You can find the iconic Toys For Tots box at several of our dealerships in Walworth County and our dealership in Platteville, WI Please do not gift wrap your donations and leave them in the original packaging.
We are accepting donations until Monday, December 5th!
