If you're a first time car buyer and looking for what you should know. We go in depth on what to expect during sales in the car buying journey.
For many people who are buying their first car. The idea may be daunting and scary.
Kunes however, is lifting the hood and giving you all the details from people who know best. In this video we are gonna cover all things sales as a first time car buyer.
Before coming to the dealership make sure you have your drivers license and insurance, especially if you plan on test driving vehicles that day. For first time buyers especially, bring in a pay stub to help expedite the finance process, as well as a utility bill.
When you first arrive on the lot, a sale consultant will come up and greet you. From there, a conversation will be had about what are looking for in a car and if you have any specifics on models and finance. (Don't forget to ask about First Time Buyer Manufacurer Offers)
From there the sales team will show you a few vehicles that fit what you are looking for. Then, it is time to take those puppies for a test drive, Mike always reccomended to test drive at least two to get a feel and have something to compare.
For many people, they want to be able to do this process alone, but bringing another person, especially someone who has been through this process can help be there to guide and give a second opinion when needed.
Many factors affect the price on a car; miles and conditions are the biggest ones.
When it comes to bringing in a trade in, make sure it is in great condition, possibly paying to have it detailed and making sure that service is up to date on the vehicle. This is also the biggest section of negotiation you can get when it comes to affecting the price of the car you are purchasing.
When it comes to having a cosigner, someone with established credit can help you get a better rate if possible.
When you test drive a car, some things that can be recommended is taking it on a highway, back road to see if it can get up to speed and make sure there is no problems with accleration. Also make sure to check out the tires to make sure the car can be safely driven.
When it comes to your car buying journey, the biggest rule of thumb is to do your research and educate yourself on the car market.
Next in my journey, I am going to hop back into the car with Megan and Matt McGuiness to talk about everything I should determine before going into the dealership.
Shopping for a car is different for everyone, everywhere. Kunes Auto Group hopes to create a knowledge experience for any type of buyer!
