Freedom isn’t free. But in this case, the freedom of the open road in a mobile home on wheels is truly free thanks to the generosity of several local businesses and the hard work of a group of students in the automotive club at Freedom High School.
Kunes RV of Green Bay donated a 2000 Pace Arrow Vision motorhome to the Freedom Wheels automotive class, and they went to work. With the help of Harbor Freight Tools for Schools supplying the parts and tools to get the job done, local heavy equipment shop Klink Equipment, taking on the safety, chassis and engine checks and a bevy of volunteers that painted, cleaned and repaired everything both inside and outside, this motorhome is now stocked and ready to hit the road.
Channel 2, WBAY in Green Bay, recently did a news story on this incredible project. Check out the story and video by the local news station as they interviewed many of the key people involved in gifting the freedom of travel and a place to call home to this local disabled veteran.
