Win a Honda Civic Sport and Support United Way of Adams County
Kunes Honda of Quincy has donated a brand-new Honda Civic Sport hatchback to the United Way of Adams County, and 100% of every $200 raffle ticket goes straight back into the community. Jenna Hull, President and CEO of United Way of Adams County, sat down with Bob Gough on Muddy River News This Week to share how the raffle works and why it matters.
The Civic is the sporty hatchback version, finished in blue, and it is parked out front of Wine on Broadway in Quincy if you want to see it in person before you buy.
How the Raffle Works
Each ticket is a straight $200 donation to United Way of Adams County. There are no added fees, so the full amount supports local programs. And every ticket is a winner.
- Grand prize: A Honda Civic Sport hatchback, donated by Kunes Honda of Quincy
- Nine additional prizes: Exclusive watches from Illinois Watch Company
- Every ticket: Your choice of a bottle of whiskey or a bottle of wine, courtesy of Wine on Broadway
Buying more than one ticket? You can pick a different bottle with each, so two tickets could mean one whiskey and one wine.
Ten finalists will be drawn for the car and the nine watches. Each finalist receives two complimentary tickets to the United Way of Adams County gala, a $500 value, where the winners of each prize will be revealed.

A Partnership Years in the Making
Kunes has stood with United Way of Adams County from the start of its corporate sponsorship program. When the organization first opened its campaign to corporate sponsors a few years ago, Kunes and Quincy Recycle were the first two to sign on.
This year, Wine on Broadway serves as campaign chair, and the team there wanted to do something big. Wine on Broadway and Kunes worked together to build the raffle: Kunes donated the Civic, while Wine on Broadway brought in Illinois Watch Company and is sponsoring every bottle of whiskey and wine.
Keep an eye out in November, too. The Civic is set to star in an upcoming episode of Carpooling with Chrissy on Muddy River News.
More Ways to Join In
- Give it as a gift. With sales open through early January, a raffle ticket makes a memorable stocking stuffer.
- Pay it forward. One anonymous donor bought three tickets and asked that they go to three ALICE families in Adams County. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed: hardworking households that earn above the poverty line but still struggle to cover basic costs.
- Spread the word. Every referral you send could earn you a bonus ticket.
- Win and give back. If you win the car and don't need it, you can donate it back to United Way of Adams County to support its work across the county.
