Welcome to another episode of Kunes Car Convos, in this episode of Kunes Car Convos Matt McGuinness, Creative Director at Delavan Holdings, chats with Joe Serpico, Manager of Golf Operations at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, WI. In this episode, Matt and Joe talk about Family Golf Nights at Majestic Oaks, Lake Lawn Resort’s golf course.

Joe says that the family golf nights run from Sunday - Thursday starting at 4:00PM. It only costs $14/person, and that price is for adults and kids. He adds that at least one player in your group needs to be 17 years old or younger to qualify for the family night price. The family night includes 9 holes, as well as a complimentary snack and fountain drink at the clubhouse afterwards.

Joe says that besides learning the game of golf, it’s nice to get the family out together and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Today’s day and age, everything costs so much money that everytime you step out of the house it feels like you have to drop $100 to do anything. This gives families another option to get out and have fun together.

Joe says family nights will be on Sundays through Thursdays starting at 4pm. He does recommend reserving a tee time since Lake Lawn is starting to get busier, but it’s not required. Another reason why it’s a good idea to set up a tee time to avoid being turned away if the tee time sheet is filled for the day. Joe notes that if you’re trying to book a spot online for Family Golf Night, you will need to call the pro shop to get it arranged that way to avoid the booking fee that is normally charged when you book online. That way, you won’t be overcharged.

Joe explains that everyone will play from the family golf set of tees. On the par four holes, players will hit from the 150 yard marker. Then, on the par fives, they’ll hit from the 200 yard marker. On par threes, players will hit from the actual red tee boxes. Joe reiterates that this is for the whole family when they come to play on a Family Golf Night. That way mom, dad, and the kids can all start at the same spot.

Joe shares that there will be an end of the season event at Majestic Oaks towards the end of September called the Craft Brew Open. It’s more of a Germanfest type theme, so there will be a lot of beer vendors and beer tasting out on the course.
