A Sneak Peek into the Car Buying Journey

For many people who are buying their first car. The idea may be daunting and scary.

Kunes however, is lifting the hood and giving you all the details from people who know best. In this video we are gonna cover the first steps and how to create your game plan when you first start looking at cars.

When You Arrive at the Dealership

When you are determining when you should go to the dealership, anytime is a good time to buy a car. If the correct research and steps are completed you will get the best deal no matter when you go in.

Especially for first time buyers, it is a good idea to bring someone with you to hep guide you along the way and provide input when needed.

Picking Out Your Car

When it comes to picking out your car, always show up to the dealership with an open mind, but have those must haves and would like to haves list to help narrow down your options.

If you are brand loyal, it is completely find if you want to stick with that brand. But definetely still keep an open mind because you may come in wanting a specific make or model and fall in love with something completely different.

Carfax can help you determine accident history and show if it is important to the health of the car.

For the Sales Shopper

Generally manufacturers will have discounts and rebates for different models that people will get automatically. There are also special discounts for:

  • Brand Loyal Customers
  • Military/ First Responders
  • Recent College Graduates

On ocassion the dealerships will also be running specials on certain cars as well.

If you do not want to commit to a car long term, leasing could be a great idea for you. If you will be driving long distances, you may experience surprise charges at the end of your lease.

The Biggest Rule of Thumb

When it comes to starting your car buying journey, the biggest rule of thumb is to do your research and educate yourself on the car market. Always give the car a nice look over and take it for a test drive.
