Kunes Auto Group Announces New Offering of Wheelchair-Accessible Vans

DELAVAN, Wisc., December 6, 2023

Kunes Auto Group, a family-owned business with 30+ auto dealerships throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota, is pleased to announce is it now offering wheelchair accessible vans from Vantage Mobility.

“As a family-owned business with strong ties to the communities that we serve, we felt that it was important for us to be able to serve all of the members of our community and provide them the opportunity to work with a full serve dealership” said Scott Kunes, Chief Operating Officer of Kunes Auto Group.

Kunes went on to say, “when we looked at the availability of accessible vans we realized that the disabled members of our community have been very limited in their options of where they can go to shop and have these vans serviced.  We have always taken pride in being very easy and accommodating to do business with, and we want to bring that option to this underserved portion of our community.”

The many dealerships of Kunes Auto Group have a long-standing, and well-earned, reputation for excellent customer service and caring for their customers.  When asked why they decided to offer mobility vans, Tony Walus, Commercial Sales Manager, said, “when we realized the challenges that were being faced by members of our community, especially the disabled veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country, we knew it was something that we had to do.  It is consistent with the mission of Kunes that we make sure we are serving all our community.”

Working with Vantage Mobility of Phoenix Arizona, Kunes Auto Group will be putting their sales and service associates through an extensive program, so they are able to match the clients with the right van and service the vans as well.  Vantage Mobility works closely with Chrysler, Honda, and Toyota when they convert the vehicles to be wheelchair accessible, and has even been honored with Toyota’s highest award for quality, the Toyota Gold Award.

Walus, a longtime executive at Kunes Auto Group, will be leading the initiative into mobility and said that they will be reaching out to groups within the disabled community, to share their commitment to meeting their needs and offering them the best in sales and service.

Founded in 1996 in Delavan, Wisconsin, Kunes Auto Group has since grown to over 44 locations spanning across the Midwest. Previously Kunes Country, Kunes Auto Group lives up to its motto –– Faith, Family, and Giving Back –– by employing over 1,800 people and donating 10% of its yearly net profits to local charities.
