For many people who are buying their first car. The idea may be daunting and scary.
Kunes however, is lifting the hood and giving you all the details from people who know best. In this video we are gonna cover the first steps and how to create your game plan when you first start looking at cars.
When you first start searching, all the options may seem overwhelming. However, if you take the time to determine your wants and needs from a car it can help you to narrow down your options to something you will be happy with for years to come.
Looking online can help you filter out and help you determine which models you would like to look at, before you arrive on the lot.
When looking for what you can afford, always take a look at the monthly payment, to help you digest what you can afford in your daily life and work your way back from there.
Online calculators can help you determine what kind of payment you can afford and what the total price of the car can be.
When it comes to buying a car, the option of a used car will be the most likely outcome for many first time buyers. Service contracts are a great addition to any used car purchase and are worth the little extra change in your monthly payment. Additional charges, such as your taxes, titles and fees are typical in any car purchase and should be expeted and account for when budgeting for your car.
When it comes to financing a vehicle, a dealership can help you work with banks to give you the best rate for your loan and help you purchase your car.
Putting money down, if possible, is always a good thing as it can help you to lower you monthly payment and how much you pay in interest.
Generally you can get a better price on a used car and as a first time car buyer are more likely to get approved for your loan.
When it comes to buying a used car, a general sweet spot is to look for a car generally under 50,000 miles.
When it comes to starting your car buying journey, the biggest rule of thumb is to do your research and educate yourself on the car market. You can determine what you want and what you can afford, and what you should typically be paying for it.
Next in my journey, I am going to hop back into the car with Megan and Matt McGuiness to talk about everything I should determine before going into the dealership.
